Typical, not a forecast. Reanalysis wind misses some local thermal winds, so a spot known for an afternoon breeze may do better than this.

About Port of La Güera

Known for sailing, by the OpenStreetMap map of the area. The shore faces SW, so wind from the NE blows out to sea (our estimate from the coastline).

Water about 19°C: 2 mm shorty. Typical sea temperature for the time of year, not a forecast.

A harbour, as OpenStreetMap maps it, on a shore facing SW. Wind from the SW blows onshore, wind from the NE blows out to sea, and wind from the NW or SE runs along the shore. It is sheltered to the open sea. We found no boat hire, sailing school or club within 10 km on the map, so bring your own boat here. The sea is about 17°C in April, its coldest month (3/2 wetsuit), and 23°C in August, its warmest (2 mm shorty). For sailing at intermediate level the best months are usually April, May and June, with about 7 good days in 7; in August and November, about 5. From the weather of past years. The town to stay in is Nouadhibou.

The score is the conditions only: the journey, the price and the partners never change it (how we score, how we earn).
